Are there any practitioners of Ninjitsu here? I am fascinated by your art! Could you tell us about your techniques, strategy, and training methods?

If it works, use it!

If not, throw it out!

Part of our art is Ninjutsu, but I haven't read enough to discuss the strategy beyond keeping your goals clear in your mind and taking the most efficient path to attaining them. I do know a tiny bit about the history of Ninjutsu, though.

O Sensei said that everyone has a defined sphere of strength and if you can get them outside that sphere then their strength will disappear. I say, EXPAND YOUR SPHERE!

As far as I know, it's very difficult to find a legitimate Ninjutsu dojo. I spent some time researching, as I too was very intrigued by the art. Unfortunately, the only Ninjutsu establishment I found to be somewhat credible, the "Quest" dojos, are also quite expensive...too expensive. Alas.

There are a few budo taijutsu dojos near where I'm moving to, I was going to take it but they told me that they don't perform sparring of any kind because it's "too dangerous with out techniques"...*. It's been proven so many other times that those arts who practice all contact styles of sparring, with emphasis being on full contact, will most always dominate those arts or schools that don't.

i wish we did full contact. but we can only go 60% with our attacks, although we still get hurt. we can go all out with our speed.
