Does anyone know anything about martial arts using the battle axe, or know anywhere I could find out about it, books, videos, etc?

I'm not talking about the Chinese battle axe, but the large medieval type...I guess it would be Celtic or Renassaince? I will post a picture of mine if I get a chance.

I would appreciate any information, this is a weapon I would like to learn how to use.

Thanks for the link, Useo.

And come on...who isn't interested in fighting with a big axe? That's just fun :D

I'd actually rather fight with a small axe and a shield, but thats just me. :)

If it works, use it!

If not, throw it out!

Mu Ryuk,

There are probably a handful of decent instructors out there for battle axe training. But I personally would only recommend one such individual. I've met this guy and he is both intense and extremely skilled. He teaches something called Yashai Warcraft. Check out his website and email him:

Yeah, who doesnt want to fight witha really big axe. I mean the bigger the weapon the more fun. I mean a giant sword would be even more fun, but good luck finding one let alone an instructor.
