MuayTB1 Posted July 14, 2001 Posted July 14, 2001 Is there any way to call or write to the chinese to suggest the sport of san shou, the chinese way of muay thai. I know the chances are slim but could any body here tell me where to go for it. "Don't think!! Karateka Posted July 15, 2001 Posted July 15, 2001 The Chinese have no control over what goes into the Olympics. You would have to write a letter to the IOC. The Olympics address is http://www.olympics.org, go there and see what you can find out. "Never hit a man while he's down; kick him, its easier"Sensei Ron Bagley (My Sensei)
KylejustKyle Posted July 15, 2001 Posted July 15, 2001 Doesn't the hosting nation get to demonstrate a sport that's not part of the Olympics? Isn't that how Tae Kwon Do got put in, because of Seoul Olympics? Could be wrong though, never really watched the Olympics since none of the channels would show TKD or Judo.
Angus Posted July 15, 2001 Posted July 15, 2001 The olympics, i think, is only good if you're into running and gymnastics. Cos that's all they ever show. Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
Karateka Posted July 15, 2001 Posted July 15, 2001 I don't think that they allow that. If you mail the IOC, they will be sure to give you all the information you need. "Never hit a man while he's down; kick him, its easier"Sensei Ron Bagley (My Sensei)
