Son Goku the monkeyking
when u streetfight/sparr/ tournament what moves do u use. i meen what moves sets/ memorized techniques do u have in the back of ur head that u use or plan to use when u fight. like chicken kick, side kick, roundhouse with apposite leg then grab opponet and use judo throw, or traping techniques like i like to use stuff like that . here are mine1) monkey steping trap than lead into a puch throw combonation or punch kick combo what ever floats my boat.2) grabing arm ( grappling move) extend there arm and push & turn arm in that direction to render them helpless than sweep the leg are strike knee turn make them fall. Or my favorite go into a throw.3. if ti am grabed onto by arm) peel of , brake fingures etc. push arm back to make them fall or sweep them to make them fall. then while on ground punch/ strike OR go into a arm grapple move to break there arm. what i am working on now is trying to develope moves that i can assault someone with to knock um dead. 2. BUT enough about me what about u guys . P.S. dose anyone KNOW any move sets to attack with. ( i am speeking from tan tui blue sash with crane patch level by the way. Sam
Ok - I would say that the moves you attack with [irrelevant of style] will depend entirely on who you're facing.Try not to rely on memorised sets of moves or counter attacks as these generally restrict your ability to defend as you are waiting and looking for certain attacks, or develop a pattern.I obviously dont train in the smae style as you [or anything similar] but I would say that the above is general advice. Triddle
I really have to agree with Sam here... along time ago i used to use alot of the same combos, and i found it to be detrimental, you have to be ready for anything, and not wait for opertunities to use your favorite combos, just use whatever works when it works, and if someone does something unexpected when your doing something, you have to be able to change into doing something else to suit whatever it is they do, learn HOW to string moves together, instead of learning already strung together moves... if that makes any sense
Jane_Doe
i dont use set moves i take each fight as it comes and do what i need to do in the mat that day. TAE: to jump, kick or smash with footKWON: A fist-to punch or distroy with the hand or fistDO: is an art, way or method
Sam
exactly -learning set combos tends to restrict your thinking when you have all that adrenaline... you just end up getting into a pattern.... not good
elbows_and_knees
Actually, There's nothing wrong with a set pattern per se. The problem comes when you ONLY use that same set pattern over and over. It makes you more predictable. for example, I don't always want to throw 1,2,3 - jab/cross/hook. use it, but also mixt it with other combos - 1,3,2 - jab, lead hook, cross, or 1,1,3,2, etc. when you vary your "set pattern" it appears more random even though it technically is not. Sam
yes, ok combos themselver are fine... im talking about drilling combos in too much.... they become habbit and pattern formingso logn as you mix them up that can give you an advantage.
