Bruce WillPete7 Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 Hey my only "official marital art" is wrestling, i used to wrestle on the Varsity Tully Highschool team. I would just like to hear a few things about these clips if you want to see my teammates/friends they are Derek Conant at 112 and Sam Sirota at 160 lbs. If it looks like all we do is primarily utilze takedowns thats because thats what we drilled repetitively and thats what we specialize in. I think its great for any MMA and i will take my wrestling skills with me wherever i go.http://www.sectioniiiwrestling.com/Video/New/New.htm ~heres the site....you may have to download them on to your computer the files arent too big. Enjoy and please feel free to comment on them. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless like water. SubGrappler Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 The 215lber Jason Brown had a beautiful fireman carry at the 1:07 markThe 112lber was the best match I've seen so far. Lots of action going back and forth on the feet. The duck under at the 7:00 mark was nice (and I think I spied an oil check to finish the takedown) and so was the low outside single at the 8:02 mark (too bad he didnt finish it).Theres a nice low kneepick to start off the 171 lbersI got as far as the 125lbersFor anyone else who's looking for good takedowns, those were the best I saw up until 125lbs.
Bruce WillPete7 Posted June 22, 2005 Author Posted June 22, 2005 Thanks for the input you did a great job pointing out some great takedowns. Also see Sam Sirota's match the 160 lber he has some of the greatest takedowns (in that tournament) in my opinion, he did place 6th in the state last year and was seeded 1st at sectionals to move onto states again but things happen and the pressure gets to you.
