TKD_McGee Posted March 4, 2002 Posted March 4, 2002 I wonder if I were to take up Combat Hapikido for a few years, if I could get into the military as an instructor based upon my experience. Does anyone know anything about the requirements for being a military combat instructor? Do unto others, as they done to you.
Iron Arahat Posted March 4, 2002 Posted March 4, 2002 I can't speak specifically to the US, but I know for a fact that military combat instruction in alot of countries focus only a short time on actual hand to hand. Most time is spent shooting your gun...and what combat they do teach either involves a bayonte, or knife. AnonymousOne Posted March 5, 2002 Posted March 5, 2002 I got back from a weeks teaching (a week ago) assisting my Sensei with the SAS (special forces). I am not sure what they requirements are in the USA but down here my Sensei has been teaching them since 1966. No one else has got a foot in the door. 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul. Warriors are action takers and not action fakers.
