makiwaraman
Congratulations Solo,IMO all gradings should be carried out at normal training, This will reduce the amount of people that pass just because they paid for a grading. Then the grades would mean you reached a set standard in your style.regards maki We are necessarily imperfect and therefore always in a state of growth, We can always learn more and therefore perform better. Solo
Thanks everyone. I agree makiwaraman, that's what our dojo has started this year. Instead of 'block' gradings where the whole class gets graded, if you're ready they'll tell you/test you. They only did 'block' grading with the younger white/yellow belt classes but.. It's changed now.. "Freedom discovers man the moment he loses concern over what impression he is making or about to make."-Bruce Lee
kenpo_fighter
nice to read a story about a martial artist who EARNED their rank instead of buying it. Congradulations, Solo! u make your fellow shodan's proud. Wisdom is knowledge rightly applied. To fight wisely is to rightly apply techniques.
