You people have no clue what makes a drug addict.....

criminalizing them doesn't help them, treatment helps.

hundreds of years ago mental patients were mistreated becasue people were too stupid to deal with it.

Today drug addicts suffer because people are too stupid to see it as a disease.

I just found out that my uncle has been on cocain since the past year and my family has really been broken down by it. My father is a rather wealthy person so my uncle is staying with us and going to rehab for a while until he gets back on his feet.....it kinda sad because he wants to join my karate school but he cannot because my sensei will not teach a person that has been convicted of a felony..why do people have to get in to that sh*t , JUST SAY NO!

Wow - so what your Sensei is saying is - we don't want people like you in our society. So - what must they do to survive OUTSIDE of our society? The answer is - commit crime!

Yeah the problem is that it's so easy to agree or support the notion of 'alcoholics or drug addicts receiving help and aid with rehabilitation' but then they start complaining when a rehab center is built in their neighborhood.

That's bad, I think, becasue the sensei should think about exceptions - like a forty year old man who commited one crime when he was eighteen, adn then lived his life the right way. Just MHO.

i personally do not care about crack addicts, coke heads, stoners or heroin addicts........like if you do heroin you are gonna die.........so she got what was coming to her

hell if i was on heroin my parents wouldnt have no sympathy for me.....they'd kick me out the house and let me rot

You can boo me if you want, You know I'm right!

To tell you the truth i really cannot tell you the reason that my sensei doesn't teach people that have commited a felony, he just doesn't like people who have commited serious crimes and doesn't want to take the chance of them actually learning karate just to be able to beat the snot out of other people, i guess. That's the only reason i could think of for my sensei to not teach people with felonies on their record!

I guess if I were a sensei I would teach people that have commited a felony if their felony wasn't something like rape or murder.
