username237 Posted March 4, 2002 Posted March 4, 2002 did anyone see those pics in the paper of that heroin addict that died? How horrific was that! That poor girl! My heart goes out to her parents. I really do think it was a good idea to publish those pics, it will have put a lot of people off trying drugs. What do u guys think about those police photos being made public? right or wrong?

Joecooke007 Posted March 4, 2002 Posted March 4, 2002 I don't know if I can feel sorry for a dead heroin addict. I mean I can understand the personal part but the fact that their life had been wasted already cancels that out. Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
Bon Posted March 5, 2002 Posted March 5, 2002 Why should I feel sorry for a heroin addict ? Everyone knows you're likely to overdose from taking heroin. I have no pity for people who take drugs. It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.

Blade13 Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 I think that SOME police photos should be made public. Being the son of a trooper, I have seen some pictures that are pretty gruesome. I doubt that many people could handle them. The ones of drug addicts and the such are okay, but when it gets to pictures of mangled bodies and blood, I think those should stay in the police files. As long as most people could see the picture without vomiting, Im all for it.
Spooky dog Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 OH yeah! If putting pics in the paper means it's gonna at least stop one person i agree totally with what Yoda says! But i think it must be really hard to stop, it's probably like smokeing once u start it's really hard to stop! But a little worse! I wonder what it's like Don't just do Aikido-perform it, feel it...dance it!!!Spooky dog-jr blueBAA
Ryukyu1 Posted March 13, 2002 Posted March 13, 2002 If I remember right wasn't there pictures or a story of some other kid who had died from ectasy he got at a rave last year in the UK. I don't think it will do much in the line of deterring kids from using. I know when I was a teeneager I rarely paid any attention to the newspapers except for the sports pages. I did get a good education on drugs from my family and not the drugs are bad you must not take them type, I mean the explained them to me and what they do. I think the new policy on dealing with drugs in the UK is mad. Relaxing policing on recreations drugs to concentrate on harder ones!! I think the should increase governmetn spending to help the police go after all drug dealers and smugglers with the maximum penalty when they are caught.
