Patrick Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Well, I don't/didn't study martial arts. But, my grandfather was a brown belt in Judo, my dad took some hybrid of an art or two (I forget) for a very short time and my little brother got up to junior blue belt in American Kenpo. Patrick Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 MA wise? Well, managing a community usually requires the skill to manage a community and not a knowledge of the subject manner. That actually helps me at times. Hurts me at others, but that hurt is completely made up for by surrounding myself with smart/smarter people. ShotokanKid Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I am the only one in my family (other than my cousin in TKD that takes a year to get BB) "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."
BLueDevil Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I beleive I am the first one in my family to study then I convinced my Mom to let my brother join (he's 12) So he is now going to get his orange belt soon. That was one of the reasons I joined, was so I could a family legacy that I could pass along to my daughter and any other children in my future. There is no teacher but the enemy.
Fairfax_Uechi Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I study martial arts as well as my son. My better half is considering it, but watches all of the time and is actually beginning to express intrest.
