What is your favorite kata and why? I'm going to wait awhile to see what others say before I disclose my personal favorite. :karate:

Thats a tough one to answer i like so many kata but i guess i would have to say that shisochin and chinto are the 2 that i really concentrate on right now . but i love all of the ones i know they are all very important in different asspects. The reason is they are from different parts of thinking naha te and tomari/shuri te , but both have very unique bunkai .

Seienchin is my favorite kata. I like it because it is so strong, and done well, looks impressive. It's also physically quite demanding.

I also like annanku and rohai. Although I don't think that many styles do annanku.

We also practice ananku however it is not one of our required kata .

Hey I do ananku too. It is kind of a fun kata. I like the slide steps. I like the change of pace movements too.

Seianchin and Rohai. I like Bassai Dai as well, but the first two are my favourite. As well as Seipai!

One of my favorite things is kata. So let's bring this back up. What is your favorite kata?

I love Jitte. Not really sure why but I just took to it.
