WudangDragon Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 im due to start learing Lang Jung Kuen Kung Fu, but im not too sure what the style consists of. any info at all ould be seriously appreciated.thnx in advance, Izuna Dragon "We follow the World,The World follows Heaven,Heaven follows Tao,Tao follows the way things are."
stonecrusher69 Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 I never heard of this style before.I asked my sifu ( he's speaks chinese)the meaning and he said it could be the name of a place, thing or family surname. but it does not have any meaning like white crane of something like that.the best thing is just ask your sifu. When you find out post it here I like to know what it is.. http://www.youtube.com/user/sifumcilwrath"When the student is ready the master will appear"
WudangDragon Posted June 18, 2005 Author Posted June 18, 2005 my sifu says its a blended style, a mix of wing chun and jkd. i cant find much about the translation, or what it means, but this is the chain of gyms where we train - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/j.kelly627/thnx for the reply anyways btw - its also sumtimes spelt lan jung kuen, but i doubt that'll change much "We follow the World,The World follows Heaven,Heaven follows Tao,Tao follows the way things are."
stonecrusher69 Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 ok..so how do you like the training so far? ask your sifu where he learned his wing chun and JKD from?this should give you a little idea about the flavor of his style. Are there any traditional Wing Chun schools in your area? http://www.youtube.com/user/sifumcilwrath"When the student is ready the master will appear"
WudangDragon Posted June 19, 2005 Author Posted June 19, 2005 trainings great. pretty intense, but great.he learned his wing chun and JKD from a sifu who had a gym in glasgow.but the gym's closed now. his is the only chinese martial arts gym in about a 50 mile radius, every thing else id TKD or karate "We follow the World,The World follows Heaven,Heaven follows Tao,Tao follows the way things are."
