Kickbutt
I just hope that we win our bid for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, BC Canada - it would be great for the economy!! thaiboxerken
China will probably try to get San Shou into the olympics. I'd much rather see Muay Thai, but I doubt that the elbows and knee techinques would be allowed in an Olympic sport. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts. Angus
I don't wanna see them in the olympics cos they'd drastically water the kickboxing down man. Kickboxing isn't kickboxing if the olympics get hold of it - it'l be some stupid abomination that vaguely resembles the sport. just like the did with TKD. We already have events like K1 and the international kickboxing events - leave the olpympics to the swimmers and runners and gymnasts. Karateka
Actually Rush, the WKF is talking with the IOC to get it in, without it being represented by a country. The talks are going well so far, so it looks like it may just be in 2008 or 2012, who knows? Karateka
Talks happen very peridoically with many world groups with the IOC. The question is how far do they go with them.
