To Bow or not to Bow that is the Question

Featured Replies

There is currently a case in Seattle, WA in which the plantiffs claim that being forced to bow before a competition is religious discrimination. They state that bowing to things like Jigaro Kano (the founder of Judo) violates their civil rights, as they are following Shinto beliefs.

I think this is taking things a little too far myself...

WHAT THE??????
Thats actually funny.  In my Karate class, before class, we bow and sit on our needs and close our eyes for a few seconds. Very traditional. But when a new student come in or we have visitors, he'll say, "What we are doing is not something religious." or a comment in that flavor.
