Protoman7000
Definetly not, you hear of most of the Martial Artist people admire starting at a very young age (Example, one of my idols, Jet Li starting Wushu at So myself, having admired and wanted to become a great martial artist almost all of my life was a little bit discouraged when I started at 16, rather later then alot of other great martial artist, So starting now you are definetly not too young. DJmma
No not atall. I just started MMA and im 15(almost 16), and if anything im more athletic and picked it up quicker than the other adults. so i guess its more of how you are personaly. but there's no reason you'd be too young at 16. greenbelt_girl15
Well I started Cuong Nhu at 14 and wished that I had started younger, so I think you are at a good age. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love, a spirit of power, and of self-discipline.2 Timothy 1:
Sohan
Starting young is smart. By the time you're in your 30's, you'll have established a pretty good MA career. Just keep it up and don't quit.Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." LiTtLeDrAgOn
Yea....I wish I would of started earlier with martial arts, I played around with it when I was about 12-13 but, any age is good to start!! The younger the better!! There are kids in the junior class that are 8 and 9 years old...Some 11 year olds are green and brown belts already. Again, the younger the better in my opinon. I started when I was 15 and am 17 now. So I guess Im still beginning and I just got my green belt in Bojokaru A wise man once said..."Courage is not the abstinence of fear. It is what is done when the emotion of fear is present....That is courage my friend" -Jordan Galendiez
