boxeador
Almost any age is a good age to start. I thought I was to old (14) when I started kickboxing.
martial way
I meant young in the sense of how hard it will be to learn/do well in JKD.
Traditional-Fist
martial way,You are at a good age to learn any system of martial arts. At your age you will have the energy and the ability to absorb techniques and methods solidly. The only potential problem would be the tendency for many people of your age to be distracted by other things such as girlfriends, school, family obligations, parties etc. However, if you are dedicated and focused then you will advance solidly and become a potent martial artist when you are older.Good luck! Use your time on an art that is worthwhile and not on a dozen irrelevant "ways".

Mr. Mike
I started learning when I was 17...not too bad of an age to learn...I stopped less than three years after. Now at 30, I've been back into it for just over a year, and let me tell you, the older you are, the harder it seems to be to absorb...and that's just the mental aspects. After 10 years of a relatively sedentry lifestyle, I was as stiff as a board and had racked up numerous health problems that could stand in the way of hard training. Will I let them? No! Still, just as well to start young and stick with it. When a man's fortunate time comes, he meets a good friend; When a man has lost his luck, he meets a beautiful woman.-anonymous
