fighting with eyes closed

I think its possible for it to work where your both blindfolded - but is relatively stupid to suggest that blindfolded would hold their own against sighted.

Ummmmmm.........

Have you not seen Zatoichi?????

:) :) :)

Hehheheh, I love those movies! Zatoichi often perceives more than sighted people in his movies! Great storylines in addition to action in each of those episodes!

I agree,

theres some really good morals tucked away in those episodes.

Kinda reminds me of Kung-Fu with Dave Carradine.

I believe the blindfold technique is used for the 4 reasons

1. Balance (Your sense of balance is thrown off when blindfolded)

2. Self awareness (You are more aware of the sounds you hear smell and touch)

3. Grace (when your blindfolded you can not see your moves, so it is good to have someone there to help you.)

4. Low visibility combat (Navy SEAL's train blindfolder to assemble items to open locks, use weaponary, even grapling combat.)

Blindfolding is centuries old technique used by many cultures.

I am partly blind, meaning my eye sight is gone in my right eye. I had to relearn my balance and guage depth. Using the blindfold techinique helped me to regain my balance and sense of confidence again...

I will never be able to fight like I use to but I dont let it limit me in anyway. Its like riding a bike, if you fall off get back up and ride it again.
