Sam Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I agree about that - but real life scenarios would involve some pretty intense situations.... heavily outnumbered, randomly being smacked from behind, etc... but then again there is only so much you can train for.
SANCHIN31 Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Sometimes at class we form a circle with one or two in the middle. The ones on the outside smack away at the ones in the center. Everybody gets smacked,it's great fun. A blackbelt is not the beginning,it's a piece of cloth, that's all.
RaidenTB Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Well, we train randori niningake, where one must defend himself against two opponents. It's kinda nasty when the two are trying to shred you to pieces, but it's good practice for speed and awareness...Sometimes we also do 2 on 1 sparring, but that's more like once a year and mostly for fun Imagination is more important than knowledge.
