JusticeZero Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Er, neither exists. A block or dodge is often a full on attack. A punch or kick is often a full on defense. "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." - Baleia

glockmeister Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 A great defense is a very good offence. I feel that when you know that a confrontation is totally unavoidable, you should immediately put your enemy on the defensive. Even if you have to go on the defense, you should make every effort to as soon as possible get back on the offensive. Allowing the enemy to constantly play the role of the predetor allows him to many options, to much time to think, plan, regroup and recover. "You know the best thing about pain? It let's you know you're not dead yet!"http://geshmacheyid.forumotion.com/f14-self-defense
Sam Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 You cant win without both... unless you defend really aggressively.... but to succeed in a fight or self defense situation you will need both. And strategically i agree with glockmeister - being on the defense all teh time puts you in a bad position as you arent necessarily in control.
