Sam Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Well i guess thats one opinion onthe matter - didnt realise he was ever that good - trained with ed parker or something like that didnt he?
Kicks Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 I've heard that he got an 'honory black belt'. Does anybody know what his level of training really was? When I think of legendary martial artist I've never really thought of Elvis. when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes
SaiFightsMS Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Elvis did in fact train actively in karate. He began training while in the Army in Germany. His initial black belt is indeed legitimate. Someplace running round here should be a thread with some more information in it.

Kicks Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Thank you Sai, a very informative link. How do you do it? Do you have all these links memorized? when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes
June1 Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Elvis's old sensei (forgot his name! ) came to my dojo about 2 weeks ago for sparring lessons. He didn't spar any students, but he did beat the senseis! He is unbeatable. I would have gone (it was about 2 hours long), but I had too much work to finish. Apparently, he travels around, holding seminars around the world, but mostly in North America. I hope to see him again at my dojo someday! Kool Kiais: ICE! DIE! KITES! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH! KIAI!"Know Thyself""Circumstances make me who I am."
battousai16 Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 i hear his wife was a far more talented karateka than elvis himself. "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
SaiFightsMS Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Thank you Sai, a very informative link. How do you do it? Do you have all these links memorized? I use the search function. I remembered the earlier discussion and went looking.
