elbows_and_knees Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Throw a spinning back fist then after awhile throw another one but on this one fake it but make sure to sell it hopefully by reaction the would put there hands to the other side of their face and throw a nice round house to the side of the head.doing that seems like tha tkick would be too slow...

elbows_and_knees Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Also, I don't block the spinning back fist with both hands - I try to get out of the way. In the event that I can't, I cover, as I would to block a hook punch.
Muaythaiboxer Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 it seems to me the spining backfist idea would be seting yourself up to eat a knee when you came back around although sence the technique is not used oftain it may suprise them. i perfur to use a front leg thrust kick to the body then follow up with the head kick. Fist visible Strike invisible
Ringfigher00 Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I beat the guy senseless in his ribs you will see him wind down some and lower his elbows and gloves to block it , usualy they slightly bend thier head down and abs, that is when you come in for a punch and then WAM get em with the leg. I am a great kickboxer in my area, yeah i get beat down but my stanima and abiility to take kicks and punches is what freaks some out. I had a rough dad and picture him when I am in the ring, then the pain turns to anger and fuels my adrenaline, I sometimes have to back off the guy to not kill him even after I won. BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM That is what you hear when you fight me!
CagedWarrior Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Try this combo- slip a jab and throw an inside leg kick, then a jab to move them backwards a bit, then a switch kick to the head.

When the bell rings, you stop. While the fight is on, you want to hurt him - when not fighting, it's all friendly. I've even been offered to go for drinks to celebrate with guys I've beaten. A guy who beat me regularly comes to our school to train, as he learned a lot from our fight. that's how it should be.
Ben Martin Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 ^ I couldn't agree more. unknownstyle Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 punch low and then when they bring their hands down to block kick them in the head "Live life easy and peacefully, but when it is time to fight become ferocious."
elbows_and_knees Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 not in thai boxing. no boxer worth his salt is gonna lower his hands to block a punch. body shots are parried / absorbed by the elbows - we do not low block. Now, you can wear out their body in order to weaken them enough to start dropping their hands, but they won't block with the hand like that.
