AngelaG
I think it just power of subgustion.Just like the power these peachers have when they touch someone on the head in the name of Jessus lol!!!Actually if you watch a lot of those preachers they reach around to the back of the head and hold their hand against the base of the skull. They then slap the area by the widows peak and *boom* down the people go. This is actually a bona fida KO. Obviously at other times it is just hysteria at work. greefy
I've has the pleasure of training with Professor Rick Clark twice when he was last in the UK and the stuff he showed was very effective, and I would highly recommend going to one of his seminars. The idea of hitting a pressure point in an intense situation seems difficult but if you have spent years practising kysho jutsu (or any art for that matter) it would make it easier in those pressure situations to exucute moves or hit those specific points. An instructor in my association practices them every opportunity he gets and pressure situations, and I can say from experience both attacking and defending that they do have their place and can be used in conjunction with self defence Doing the bull dance, feeling the groove, working it, working it! Anbu Alex
Preassure points are just points that cause paint they are also points that controll the body and you dont have to hit them hard u have to hit them right when we do Dakenjutsu (and old japanese term for striking) we basically do pressure point fighting its just knowing where to hit and then training your self to hit there my sensei's say you have to create your own kyusho (pressure points) i mean the other day one of my friends threw a punch as a joke at me an i hit him wit a pressure point next day i left this blackish yellowish bruise on him lol he wont be doing that anytime soon White belt for life"Destroy the enemies power but leave his life"

Adonis
reminds me of that video that was circulating the net for awhile about that 7th dan Student of George Dillman. Based out in Chicago and they did demonstration on the reporter for bottom line for Fox news, as well as brining in guys from the Jiu-Jitsu gym out in chicago to do the moves on.
