karatekid1975
LOL.Seriously, I'm a kata/forms/breaking geek, so I take myself, a little luck, my uniform, a bo (if I do a bo kata), and my required boards (if I do breaking). The tournies I've been to provided food, water, ect. So I take a little cash also. But most of the time (last two tournies, that is), I've been working (judging, coaching, ect), so I would have to take my awareness, too. Heather Smyth
Just a bit of advice for the kids. Take them something to entertain themselves why they wait. Most gear bags are big enough for my two sons to sleep in when they are really bored. Another thing do NOT let them wear their Gi to the tournament. Put it on ONLY a few minutes before they compete. I have judged many a tournys where kids had AWESOME technique, but the other judges scored them low because of things like chocholate and Ketchup on their GI. Good LUCK and trust me you are going to have an adventure.Heather You are only as good as you believe you can be!
