Greetings everyone!

I am really interested in learning Muay Thai but there is absolutely noone even close in my area that teaches it. I am 20 years old and when I was younger I took Karate lessons and when I was 12 or so I got my brown belt bet then I quit because I got into riding and racing motorcycles. My question is for you all, are there any good instructional videos out there and if so which ones would be good to get?

Thanks.

Learning Muay Thai from a videotape or DVD is difficult because the basics are really more than anything the core of what is to follow. You also need to know how to "safely" progess without damaging your shins or hips.

Doing it alone also is difficult because of not having a pad holder though a heavy bag is fine for beginners.

See if you can take at least one class or private lesson to get the basic actions down then a video can support that.

Vut Kamnark's video series from unique publications show alot of the basics well and is probably good for someone just starting out. Rob Kamens tapes are very good but probably more toward the advanced beginner and up. I like Duke Roufus muay thai series as well.

I wish i could say there was one...and im sure there is one for teaching different ways to kick and basic stances but....you really need to have a trainer and spar heavy contact...Its more of an experience thing.

Black belt? Yes i have a black belt but that belt only covers 2 inches of my butt. The rest i got to cover on my own.
