Sam Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I wouldnt say all were designed for killing... but mostly yes.I think we're never going to all agree... youll always have (a) it depends onthe student (b) it depends mostly onthe student and some arts are better than others at killing/self defense / whatever © my 4r7 15 7h3 b357 - 17 ru|35
Ninjitsu Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 I would have to say that either Wing Chun or Koga Ryu Ninjitsu are the most deadly against any other martial art. To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.-Sun Tzu, the Art of War
Sam Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 strange that - being the ones you practiced.... just out of interest do you know this- or is it an opinion, i.e. do you go out and train against other MA styles.I dont think there is a MOST deadly martial arts... given some lend themselver more to the task of killing, but it depends on the situation etc.
elbows_and_knees Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 I would have to say that either Wing Chun or Koga Ryu Ninjitsu are the most deadly against any other martial art.and that opinion is based on....?FWIW though, there have been a ninjutsu stylist and a WC stylist that were totally destroyed in the UFC. I've trained with several WC guys and have beaten them sparring.
Adonis Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 I would say a nucular bomb would be the most deadly. IMO other then that there are to many factors to say which art is deadly. Let say you found the most deadly martial art out there but you your not good at it. Then you have some one who is good and full contact taekwondo and kicks you in the throat and kills you. At the time the taekwondo guy had the most deadly art. Pick an art you enjoy and learn to apply it and have fun.
Sam Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 the idea was to assume all other things are equal.... but yes i agree generallya fight / sd situation is to chaotic to predict accurately who would win
Menjo Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Hey Andrew,Sorry, but you're not foing to find a list and if you do chances are it might be biased. I feel the MA that I train in is the best as do a lot of others here. There are no bad Martial Arts only bad instructors. Every Art has it's advantages and disadvantages. You may be able to find a list of most popular, but most effective? I doubt it. The discovery channel did a show on the 10 best Martial Arts and I believe Sholin Kung Fu was #1 but that's all subjective.Very true, I actually found one way back and it was very biased and rated the martial art on its punches and kicks ect...I couldn't have disagreed anymore with that site. Sam Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 exactly - again its more down to how the MA trains and how the student trains....
