now, when you say plans and have the eyebrows raising, exactly what 'plans' do you have?

Just be yourself...make no plans and you will have no dissappointment from plans falling apart...just take it for what it is: the biggest high school dance ever. Enjoy yourself.

Yeah, just let the night fall into place. To make something happen thats not suppose to. Just like MA. if you have the open shot, strike.

Things to do:

Show respect.

Be courteous to your date, make it special for her.

Mingle with other people but don't neglect your date.

Smile a lot, but don't over do it.

Open doors for your date.

Complement her dress and her hair.

Dance with her.

Be a gentleman, not geek.

Things not to do:

Don't just talk about yourself.

Don't spike the punch bowl.

Don't 'pop the gator' or disco dance.

Don't talk with food in your mouth.

Don't try to show off.

Don't 'check out' the other girls.

Don't expect or demand anything in return at the end of the night.

Great advice Kicks! :)

Also, have fun and enjoy yourself! You'll only be young and going to prom once so make the most of it. Relax and just enjoy it.

Just watch how everyone else dances. That's how I did danced at my first dance.

Well, if that's your intent, then the only advice I can give is to wear protection. And don't bother with a news report about it. I'm not interested.

I hate this idea: that you need to do some "things" on the prom night. People ... that's something that should be done when you love the person and has nothing to do with the prom. If you've been together for a good time and you both feel like doing it, that's OK, but making plans just because it's prom night is not a good idea.

Intimacy is important. It can break or consolidate a relationship. Make sure you both love each other, you want this, and you take ALL precautions. You don't have to "score" at the prom night ... If the girl hasn't been your friend for a while perhaps it would be better to lay off the case. Don't force anything just because it's the prom.

The problem with this is that people are influenced by TV and movies, such as American Pie, where a group of boys makes a pact to lose their virginity by Prom. This makes it seem like it's "cool" to leave high school with some experience in that area.

Personally, I think it's sexier when a guy tries not to fall into that sort of mindset, and decides for himself when the time is right.

Sorry if I offend anyone; it's just my opinion.
