Yellow Grading

Recommended Posts

So I have my Yellow Belt testing tomorrow, Saturday. I take Shotokan Karate, and have been for almost 6 months. After testing for my white belt, 3 strips and a red tip, I will be grading tomorrow.

This is my first grading (for a belt, not strip testing) and I am very excited, yet nervous at the same time. I am not 100% what to expect, but I did ask a few other students, so I now a little bit.

I am reviewing my requirements a lot to make sure i know everything perfectly. I am sure I will do fine. :-?

Does anyone remember their first testing, and how did it go?

Thank You,

Nicolas

I should remember it; it was only 5 months ago! Just do what you've been doing for the past few months, you'll do fine. Good luck! :)

Oh, the first test. I remember. I remember I hadn't learned a single bit of terminology. So, thankfully, my friend who also goes to the dojo with me goes to my school, and he proceeded to drill me as frequently as possible until it was all drilled firmly into my head. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have passed. Good luck, don't freak, and remember to bow before kata.....heh....my one big mistake....Ouch....
