SevenStar
the answer to both of your questions lies in one easy answer - footwork.you have to work your way inside. you can't do that if you're not moving. Your opponent won't let you hit him - you gotta create openings. footwork, angling and strategic striking are how you do this. One you begin to grasp that concept, then specific combos will be irrelevant. Out of curiosity, how long have you been training?

SevenStar
When you say footwork should I throw my punches whilst consantly moving I can land my kicks but have trouble with punches.definitely move while throwing them. if you are trying to enter with the jab, you need to move in range to hit him - that will also ut you in range for your follow up strike, which is shorter range than the jab, so you need to cover the distance. Also, throwing the punch as you move in can hide your forward movement, as he's more concerned with the incoming punch than he is with your movement. TigerHeart
I just train abit more than you, well first off in your first 6 weeks, do some running depend on your level 1 mile or 6 miles whatever 2x a week or something then start building up slowly ask your Instrutor about this it doens't hurt if you ask, as goe for the sparring you would be comfortable with it in 6 months time. There will be a day that you can't cope with your life, I want you to look at the star and remember, I always smile back at you. luV u lots Jen
