Danny boy
I like the standard check, the knee check (when they kick you use your knee to check their shin, you checking leg must be on the floor and solid, easy to show hard to explain), Tep or stop kick, evasiveness( make them miss, save your legs aswell) and direct counter(attacking at the same time, similar to a tep). Cheers.
ewing
Yeah, I think that the knee works good when it comes to blocking low kicks. Hit first, hit hard, hit fast!
--H--
Can be "checked" or intercepted very easily with a well conditioned shin. Will also make attacker think twice about the amount of gusto that goes into such techniques. TOMMY BEE
Try checking the incoming low kick with your shin on there foot. Your shin will always be stronger than there foot is even if you do not have the best conditioned shins. _________________ tommybeeatafc@yahoo.com http://www.ringoffirekickboxing.com [ This Message was edited by: jamesdasher on 2002-03-22 14:50 ] tommybeeatafc@yahoo.comhttps://www.ringoffirekickboxing.com
Kickbutt
Yep...shinblock - I do that without thinking. If you think something small cannot make a difference - try going to sleep with a mosquito in the room.-Unknown-
Angus
It's a natural reaction to guard one's leg by lifting it... Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
