I have my bamboo scrolls that I've had sinceI was in the 5th grade on the walls, and my trophies on the entertainment center and a huge Bruce Lee poster in the wall that my GF absolutely hates.

My belt racks are on another wall with the confucius wood burnings that I made. My weapons are in the corner and that's about that.

When I started Kuk Sool, I decided that I wanted to do Asian influence for my bedroom, I am slowly picking out pieces that I like and fit my budget to make my room a unique part of my living space.

Over my headboard, I have four decorative wall scrolls, a dragon, a tiger and dragon, a tiger, and a pagoda mountain scene. On the nightstand I have a small table lamp with rice paper shade. I have a giant (40"+) hand painted wall fan with double dragons on one wall. On the other wall, I have some framed calligraphy (Target special find, I didn't say everything in the room was authentic, but I try to make it feel that way) over my dresser, which is my next project for the room, but on the dresser I have (another Target find) a small Buddha statuette and a small wooden chest that I found at a craft store that I am in the process of finishing to make it look more authentic. On my other nightstand I have yet another Target find, a small ceramic vase with Ginko leaves on it.

Currently my bedsheets are black and linen colors, with a very bold, yet masculine comforter, with various patterns and shades of browns. I have two small accent pillows, the smaller of the two is red with oriental inspired medallion shapes and little golden dragons on it. As for the larger of the two accent pillows, it is more of a cream colored with dragons and peacocks which works nicely with the rest of the browns in the room.

Back to lighting for a second, I have a floor lamp with brushed nickle finish and a tall tubular distressed looking rice paper shade. That is near the dresser just inside the door. Another Target find is a small desk lamp designed to look like a wooden Japanese lantern with rice paper shades.

What about the floorcoverings? Well since I am in an apartment, I am limited with what I can do, thankfully, the carpet is neutral toned and works with the other browns that I have used. I currently have two area rugs (another Target special buy) that fit the color theme and sort of fit into my theme, but I do have a few bamboo rugs that I am saving for the time being that fit into my overall theme better.

Now I am getting to the harder parts: dresser, headboard for the bed, nightstands, and maybe a bookcase or two. Finding the right feel for the furniture will be tough. I also am thinking about a few paper lanterns, a dragon kite, folding screen, and maybe a few more wall accents (leaning towards weapons to finish it off).

Probably not exactly what you were looking for in a response, but I thought that I would share my interior decorating project.

Get a set of samurai swords for the wall, they're very cheap, start at around £30($60) and go up to thousands. Check ebay, there're are some very cheap swords on there both practical (more expensive cuz they are very sharp) and non-practical (for display purposes). I've got a great sword, set me back £130($260) and it will cut through large blocks of wood and people! its called paul chen practical plus katana. U'll need some wall mounts to put the sword on the wall.
