CapitalKarate Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 I'd go with cross-training. Find another school in your area while also practicing what you've learned in your other arts. Good luck to you! Joshua Brehm-When you're not practicing remember this; someone, somewhere, is practicing, and when you meet them, they will beat you.

Mu Ryuk Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 1. find another club in your area2. continue to train on your ownHow come it took everyone else a full paragraph? Passion transcends pain.
markusan Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 you have to train, no questions, don't worry which style, just do it.
kitsune_no_tama Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 find another dojo in your area. your training in other MA's will allow you to excel faster, so having a degree in multiple arts is not as hard as it seems. is your red belt pre black belt or takes place of orange? if its pre black belt, just worry about finishing up later. MA in general to me is worth more than just one style. "Karate is an art. It must be regarded as such with its entirety of philosophical thought and development of the mind in harmony with the body. If it isn't thought of this way it is valueless. It is like eating only the bitter skin of the apple while leaving the sweet inner meat untasted. It is this crucial premise that is being overlooked today, and if the tide is not turned, I must predict the demise of the art. "-Isao Obata

Sabumnim Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Posted 151 times; you deserve a reply just for that.Continue to train on your own but I reckon you should look for another dojo. Training on your own can become to easy, you need other people to motivate you. Good luck "There are no limitations only plateux, and once you reach them you must not stay there."--Bruce Lee
