al karate Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 I know that my MA school is mainly filled with people still in school, (including me), but I'm curious as to how many people like it so much to the point that they'd register to a forum based on it. I know in our style we don't have actual black belts until we turn eighteen, we would get junior black belts. Sensei said it was out of respect, I think. I really don't have anything to worry about, I'll probably only have my purple belt when I turn 18. Can't we all just get along?!I learn to fight so I don't have to. emma Posted June 27, 2005 Share Posted June 27, 2005 I am 25, I started Karate in October 2003 and at that time I was 24, and later this year I will be 26.Where I go to karate at the local leisure centre, there are members who are under 16 or at 16 years of age and already have their black belts.
