To quote the page:

"We practice certain concepts and in these drills we are working on basics:

Structure.

Sensitivity.

Reaction time.

Root, not moving backward.

We feel you need to have these concepts before you can move on to more advanced concepts.

NOTE! These are only some training concepts, only basics, they are not the real thing. There are many other concepts we will share as we put up more videos of how we train."

They are only the basics.

Im sure these guys at a higher level do other types of sparing.

Hand to hand, heart to heart

If you don't come, i will not start

But if you start, i will arive first

And hit you continuiously untill i see red.

In our school that is called Chi Sao Sparring. We also do "normal" sparring.

For our Chi Sao sparring, we start in contact as they are doing in the video clip. Usually doing Chi Sao rolling, when someone feels an opening the execute a technique. It is all focusing in on close range technique and touch sensivity. At higher levels we do Chi Sao sparring blind folded.

In the video clips it looks like they are jump straight to performing the techniques without rolling first.

Hey guys, there are some more video clips on the site now. I don't have the direct link, but if you go to

http://www.immortalpalm.com

and click on the "news" button from the menu on the left it's the latest addition to the video clips. I was talking to my instructor tonight, and he said he'll be putting more and more clips up every couple weeks.

I hope you guys are enjoying them.

Marty

PS we don't really have uniforms except for a Tshirt. :karate:
