Tud Sturkle Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Allright, regarding all these different types of art and stuff I'm a bit confused. What's the fastest one to pick up? Let's say I start learning this stuff tomorrow, how long till I can head back down there? Everybody acts like they know everything and I'm sick of it.I'm pretty well put together even after all these years. Played a little football in high school. There's a weight bench out back if that helps. Don't get me wrong, back in the day i've been in some pretty serious fights and held my own, but hell I've been drinking and watching CSI for 10 years and now i think i could use a little work. Speaking of work, if anybodys hiring, let me know. Got laid off in january which is what started this whole mess.
ramymensa Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Well any style you can get in the area with a good instructor could do the trick. You can go with Kickboxing or Muay thai for faster results or get to old school Karate if you're willing to wait some more.Try to look into the area you live. It's no use having us talk you into a style just to find out the closest school is 1000 miles from you World Shotokan Karate
Tud Sturkle Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 Thanks man. these guys have a world of pain coming. Tud don't take lip from no one. SPecially not a rag tag crew of rumble bumble teeter tots like the guys who hang around elmers tap. I'm just outside janesville, WI. if that helps. at what point are the swords passed out? i mean a good drop kick is one thing but walking in elmers with a sword would command some serious attention. There was this one episode of CSI where a guy cut through a dumpster with one of those things. Jaysus!anyway, i just lost my job and i'm hoping to trade services for training in janesville. let me know. --Tud
