SevenStar Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 as for not sidestepping i disagree, i think u should be taught that immediately at least i was, but he should becarefull not to get cut off by his low kicks, for example, if hes side sstepping to his right he might be comeing straight onto a low kick which is being set up by his opponent.we don't disagree often, but there's a first time for everything. for a new guy, timing will be a hard thing to master. to try and sidestep while fighting will get him hit. parrying and using his teep and jab will serve him better. I don't disagree that he should be taught it. But if he's fighting a hard, frequent puncher, that's not the time to practice it, given the history that this guy has.

Infrazael Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 I honestly wouldn't spar with someone who is MUCH more experience than you are, let alone a disrespectful one.I would work, and perfect the Thai roundhouses, as well as continuously condition your shins.
TigerHeart Posted May 4, 2005 Author Posted May 4, 2005 Great thanks There will be a day that you can't cope with your life, I want you to look at the star and remember, I always smile back at you. luV u lots Jen
striking_cobra Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 not that i don't agree with all the good advice these guys are telling you, but in my opinion definietly train with this guy whenever you can. whatever licks you take in practice will only make your body tougher when it comes to a real compitition or fight, (hopefully you never have to worry about that though). laters " The art of Kung Fu San Soo lies not in victory or defeat, but in the building of human character." SevenStar Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 if he were more advanced, I would agree. However, as a beginner he will only form bad habits.
