Nice. A more advanced move that takes timing, but is very effective, is the cut-kick. It's a round kick of your own timed just right so that you destroy the standing leg of your opponent as he throws his kick. To do this, you must step in at a 45-degree angle away from his kick and just smash your shin right into the thigh, back of the knee or back of the calve. If you do this really hard, they'll fall to the ground, or the legs will be spread out leaving them off-balance so you can attack them at will.

 

I agree,it's an awesome move that works well.

Roundhouse kicks suck i am normally in a low stance s o all u ahve to do is grab his leg whats going for ya ribs then holdit in one arm then knee him in the nuts or suamt :D or if u dotn wnat to do that stay down and just punch him a lot and it wil lmiss u that allways works for me + there very slopw so u have a lot of a time

Exactly! One of my favorite counters to a roundhouse (although you have to be able to take a bit of punishment for it to work) Is actually move in and take the kick close to the knee catching it in your hand/arms and simultaneously roundhousing THEM. Its very quick and powerful, the second they roundhouse they are exposing themselves to your attack

That's one of our counters, but we don't roundhouse after catching the leg. We sweep the support leg, take down, then knee to the groin.
