granmasterchen Posted April 26, 2005 Share Posted April 26, 2005 I personally just take some of that cloth clothes line style rope and wrap it around a tree....that works fine for me....im not too worried about breaking or knocking down a tree.....im not that tough.... JimmyNewton Posted April 26, 2005 Author Share Posted April 26, 2005 ok, mine is complete. i have the base sunnk 3 feet deep with bracers on both sides per sintructions i've seen on mutiple sites. for the top, i glued a solid square of a shoe sole wrapped in rope. the board was cut at an agle so it has enough "give" when struck, yet is still a relativly hard surface. i then did some landscaping and planting around the area so it is aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. overall, i am quite pleased with the end result and will continue to use regularly. thanks for all the input!!
