My take on that is that some judges may call you on your technique, or for any spinning technique if you perform it is performed blindly, the judges thought that you performed it blindly (depending on perspective), or it may have something to do with WKF rules. I've done it a few times to get into range of the person and that was fine, but with the Uraken it's not the best idea. --Give your child mental blocks for Christmas. 1st KYU Posted April 28, 2005 Share Posted April 28, 2005 i dont like the spinning backfist, we dont do it in my dojo (dont know why), but the first time i saw somone do it was on the ultimate fighter. i dont know if the guy who performed it was an amatuer or what, but it opened him up entirely. if his opponent had any sense hed have shot in and taken him to the ground.
