PackerManDan Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Hey there...I was interested in finding some professional...or even amateur UFC/NHB type fights to go and watch. Because I have never been to one of these before. But I heard from someone that UFC/NHB style fights are illegal in California? I've never heard anything about it being Illegal, so whats the deal?
KUNTA KINTE Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 The athletic comission was supposed to vote on it but 3 out of 7 people werent there or somthin so it is post poned. But in indian casinos and stuff it is legal. The right to keep and bear Arms.
PackerManDan Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 So if I wanted to be a spectator at a cage fight or something I'd have to go out of state to watch it? I hate California sometimes...too damn strict on certain things.
Pacificshore Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 You can actually go to some of the some of the Indian Casinos like in Central Ca. where they hold those events. Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
Mr Pockets Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I know there are lower level (not UFC but amateur) fights held in Susanville.
PackerManDan Posted April 16, 2005 Author Posted April 16, 2005 I know there are lower level (not UFC but amateur) fights held in Susanville. That's what I'm talking about. It doesn't even have to be UFC fights, I just want to go to some sort of NHB fights. Even if it is amateur. Where is Susanville? And when do they hold these fights?
Pacificshore Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I believe the name of the Indian Casino where they hold some of these NHB fights is called "The Palace", and I believe it's located in Lemoore, CA. Maybe you can find a site for them on Google. My bud who lives nearby to Lemoore asked me sometime ago if I wanted to go see some of these fights. Unfortunately my schedule isn't as flexible as his Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
tufrthanu Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 As of the new issue of Black Belt magazine it is reported that on Feb 22 2005 it was voted 4-1 to allow MMA in California by the board. They are currently working on the ruleset. Long Live the Fighters!
