We're talking, exact training routines, diet, and warm up before the fight, and how to get pumped up before the fight. Everything. How do you do it?

Generally, just start drilling all the routines you think you might need. I know a guy who's more of a striker with some grappling getting ready for a cage fight- so he spars light contact for a round, he'll then do sprawling drills a round, then work bad positions on the ground for a round. (3 minutes each.) The idea is to drill everything you need the most into your head so it's natural enough to dream about every night. Also, make sure your endurance is top notch, and don't lift for a little while before (or do anything that might break down your muscles.) The day before a fight just rest, don't do anything strenuous at all.

I start off my spending some 30 minutes or so alone. I close my eyes, lower my breathing and I focus. Once I am happy that I can visualise myslef fighting without tensing my body, I'll start to do some routines to warm up before my fight. The key is to always stay relaxed. :-)

Do you taper your training away has you get closer to the fight so you can go into the fight fresh?

I can't give specifics if you don't give any. what kind of fight are you having and when is it?

Boxing, I want to figure out how I will prepare for the silver mittens. I want as much input as possible, I'm looking to make a rigorous training routine with everything, running, lifting, sparring, you name it. I know that its not for a long time, but I want to be prepared, I want to win. I figured that if I could see some of your training routines I could mix and match to make it fit me. Just looking for ideas. Thank you all.

Do you have a good boxing coach? if so they should be able to help you with the more specific aspects of your training, including getting into a routine.
