ShotokanKid Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 I laugh a lot and I want to find a way to...control it. "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."
Maddwraph Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 think of bad thoughts, it sucks, but that seems to work, think of unhappy thoughts. id say continue laughing, its good for you. i couldnt stop laughing in one of my classes once, eventually got pain in my chest, lol. not a good day, major laugh attack. Im brasilian, but live in the united states. Really enjoying martial arts.
SanShou Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 the only way i know is to think of sad things. usually though this backfires and i juts end up lauging harder and then feeling bad for laughing at the sad things. but generally when you start laughing its quite hard to stop if you're in that mood.
ShotokanKid Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 It's not that mood, it's my attitude... even a little minor thing keeps me laughing. SanShou Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 how old are you, because i used to be a lot like that and now i've outgrown it i guess, a little
Mr. Mike Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 pfffttt...I'm 30 and haven't outgrown it. Just think of something completely hilarious...and fall to the ground laughing...uh wait, wrong response I don't know...but my giddiness doesn't bother me...I jsut go with it. Kieran-Lilith Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Ummm....I can't help much.....I'm just as bad off....my teachers in kindergarten actually thought there might be something mentally unstable about me because I laughed so much....I've gotten no better, either. It's really bad because I'll even laugh inside the dojo. It bothers my friends who insist absolute control must be displayed in the dojo, and they tell me to shut up. It doesn't bother Sensei though...he seems to think it's amusing....I still have a 5 year old's laugh. aefibird Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Laughing is good for you. It reduces stress and creates positive feelings. Children smile and laugh more than adults do and they have higher 'happy' hormone levels (seratonin) and lower stress rates than adults. laughing has also been linked with lowering cancer rates and cutting heart problems in those suceptible. So, keep on laughing, it'll do you good! GhostlySykanRyu Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Just let it flow...no reason for stopping it unless it's interfering with your life. Hell I laughed for two hours at work when I found this shopping list in the parking lot:VaselineTissuesAntibacterial SoapCatfoodVaseline(No, the 2nd Vaseline was not a typo...apparently that person NEEDED vaseline...)
