Meridians are near-identical throughout mammals.

Cats are perfect examples of the kind of poise, health, power, sensitivity and vitality that are the trademarks of a qigong practitioner. They are born taoist and grow up taoist.

A 16lb cat might have a ? hanging over it but that's the exception.

My point is that us humans are the only mammals that don't grow up knowing how to breathe, sit, stand, move, hold ourselves, warm up, cool down etc. We do qigong to catch-up with our nature, rather than to exceed it. And even then we are ridiculed by our peers for not buying a device of some sort to do it for us instead.

It's hard to trip a cat up. Pull any leg away and lo, it's already shifted its balance. This is the kind of skill it takes us aeons to perfect in MA training.

Chi Kung- internal energy excersise

it is beneficial for health, overall energy, u breath better, your balance gets heightened, ur senses get a whole lot better, your strength increases dramatically, you keep calm under stress......

if this doesnt help u in martial arts, i dont know what can

so are u saying u could bench more by doing chi kung?

not exactly.... however if you already did bench press, you would be able to bench with more ease and keep it up for longer.

ur overall strength increases, but its not so much as getting big muscles(which wont appear), but leaner fitter muscles which give u better balance and more control of your body. these new muscles which you didnt excercise when benching, will make u feel even stronger.

depends on the training. Most artial arts today only give you some physical strength and some agility but you have to train hard constantly.Also, this type of excercises dont guarantee you will have better overall health, they give you physical strength.

I'm talking about achieving the highest level of physical condition without torturing ur body and have someone else beat you for using more weights than you. Achieving perfect physical and mental health, not because u torture yourself with excersise, but because u learn to balance ur body into its birthright-correct Chi flow

so do u guys think that i should go to school for this or just buy a video on it.Because I kinda think it's a waste of money to pay some teacher to teach u how to meditate when u can just do it at home.I'd rather pay them to teach me martial arts.(just my opinion)

trust me, with videos you dont really learn any internal arts.....

if all you want is to learn how to defend yourself? look for a school

if what you want is to fight, talk to someone else...
