ncole_91
Lucid dreams are when you dream, but you can control them. Like you dream, then you actually control what you do, either running, flying or anything. they could probably be good for mental MA traning. I did my grade 6 public speaking topic on this, I cant belive i still remember.
Kieran-Lilith
In lucid dreaming, you realize you're in the dream, and can therefore turn it anyway you like. I remember I've done this once. In a nightmare. I turned the evil person into a chocolate cupcake with rainbow sprinkles, and gave it to the milkman. Quite odd. I've not managed to lucid dream since. Shorin Ryuu
I've managed to control most of my dreams fairly often as soon as I realize they are dreams. My biggest problem is many times, as soon as I start to do so, there is a tendency for my body to start to wake up. However, I can stave off the waking process with some effort (although more intense effort seems to have the opposite effect and makes me want to wake up more). Most of this really started because I was plagued with nightmares for most of my younger childhood. My father simply told me it was a matter of willpower. Since then, I've usually been able to control dreams if I realize them for what they are. Kaminari
I've been able to do it two or three times. One time I flew, and did a bunch of superhero-like stunts, and in the other I went to see my friends, and I told them I was a dream and that they were a part of it. Woke up after one told me that the fact I was dreaming couldn't be possible, as he himself wasn't asleep, or something like that....I don't understand. Mr. Mike
Most of this really started because I was plagued with nightmares for most of my younger childhood.that's exactly why I have them. I used to tell myself "WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!!!" over and over and over. Soon I was able to say what I wanted in my dreams and eventually I could do what I wanted in my dreams. To this day I can control aspects of my dreams.More perplexing to me is the issue of night terrors. I used to get them when I was younger, but not in the last ten years or so. I just had one horrible case about two weeks ago. Just after moving to the new house. Now, I'm almost scared to sleep alone on my nights off and when my lady is working...suonds WAY juvenile, but I just cannot explain it. Youwouldn't think a full-grown man would have something like this. When a man's fortunate time comes, he meets a good friend; When a man has lost his luck, he meets a beautiful woman.-anonymous
Cmon
Sorry my post was mis leading. I know what lucid dreaming is ive been trying to do it for about 2 years now (not real serious thought did try seriously hard core for about 7 months got 3 lucid dreams).Shorin Ryuu, the best thing for you to do is try and rub your hands together while you are Lucid and if that doesn't increase your lucidity then Try shouting "increase lucidity" or "increase lucidity by 1000000" spinning can help increase lucidity. If anyone interested check this website out:http://www.ld4all.com/http://forum.ld4all.com/ (forum very interesting and helpful)

I guess I'm lucky since I can usually remember my dreams when I wake up (whether I try to or not). I even have multiple dreams a night and from time to time, I can continue a dream where I leave off.I've had some pretty good instances of staying very lucid for long periods of time.Back in my young days, whenever I had a nightmare (which was practically every night), I would trigger a tornado to come. Whenever it would suck me in, I would wake up. The strangest thing, but I guess it was my defense mechanism. I would be glad when it came, actually. Later (and now, I guess), I'd just kill something that would try to kill me.But that site is great. It really identifies all the things that trigger me in my dreams, such as lightswitches, clocks, reading, etc. I never really done that much research on lucid dreaming, so it was pretty much just willpower before. Thanks for the link! I'll try those tips too. Martial Arts Blog:http://bujutsublogger.blogspot.com/
Cmon
No problem, plus the forum is a great community. I used to have a defense mechanism in my nightmares. I used to kill myself lol bit strange too. Like i would jump down my stairs and wake up. My first lucid dream was the best, it is such a great fantastic feeling to become lucid its sooo strange. I have even been told off one person that lucid dreaming is the second greatest feeling that he has ever experienced in his 60+ life. The first being...well you can guess.
