thaiboxerken
I'm sorry of I'm harsh in my opinions. I'm just not a "politically correct" type of person. I speak my mind and let people know my opinions straight. When I say that I doubt you know more than me, I really meant that you may know different ways but the principles are probably just the same. I've trained in many martial arts and found much of the same techniques in all of them. Some martial arts don't get my respect because they teach poor things that can get a person really hurt. This is how I feel about most ( I said most, not all ) traditional karate schools in the USA. Many of these places are there just to make a quick buck, but almost ALL of them say that it's the other schools that are "McDojo's" and not theirs. Anyway, I'm open minded and train with anyone that wants to train with me. I have trained with other people in their karate schools and have found that it doesn't suit what I feel is a good way to train. When they train with me, though, they get hooked and are amazed at what I teach and train in. Your system of martial arts is probably a good one but I don't know. I'm just having fun stating my honest opinions on the forum. It makes people mad? Oh well, if we all agreed on everything and were all "PC" then it would be a pretty boring world. Taesujutsudrw
Thai, When I started in the martail arts..there were no McDojos. My first teacher was Chinese...I have been taught by Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Phillopinos, as well as American. Disrespect from anyone angers me..because life is tough enough without someone always trying to shoot down what you like to do. I'm not saying you have to like everyone else's arts..but there is a nicer way to go about giving your opinions...sometimes you could really loose some really great freinds by being the way you are with people. As far as my art goes..I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else. I did that a long time ago..the hard way. As I said before..I do not like your art..but I respect it, because it is your art..and I respect you for being so dedicated to it...however, I would I do feel that you should respect others just a little more..and their dedication to their arts...now I ma not trying to make you angry..just being straight.
