Joecooke007 Posted February 14, 2002 Posted February 14, 2002 Black belt. Everything before black belt is basics. When you get to black belt you have masteres the basics and are ready for your true training. Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
Jack Posted February 14, 2002 Posted February 14, 2002 I'd say to determine the answer of this, we'd need to know what sort of levels of experience we are determining as newbie. For example, in my opinion someone who is a newbie is probably in their first year of training, and is not very knowledgable on the fundamentals of the style he/she is practicing, or the application of moves. However, in Joecooke's opinion, someone still learning any of the basics, despite how helpful and knowledgable they are of the art and to other people, is a newbie. Shall we get a common definition of a newbie here? JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com
