Goju_boi Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 what's the best Jet li movie ever and why?I would personaly pick Fist of legend because u just can't beat those fight scenes(ummm unless u use wire fu i guess) https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
seersin Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 I like fist of Legend myself,Chinese style, fighting Japanese style was very off tha hook. ISAIAH 53:5
Skeptic 2004 Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 While I love Fist of Legend, there actually is a significant amount of wire-fu in that movie...I like (and I believe these movies got his career into high gear) the Once Upon a Time in China series. The Fong Sai Yuk movies are good too. It's rather hard to say which movie was his best. Do you know who Chosin Chibana is...?The Chibana Project:http://chibanaproject.blogspot.com
Shorin Ryuu Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Um. Ditto. Primarily because he doesn't take himself too seriously in the latter two series of movies. Martial Arts Blog:http://bujutsublogger.blogspot.com/
jedimc Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 I havent seen fist of Legend but Ive looked for it everywhere, anyway I like Kiss of the Dragon. http://jedimc.tripod.com/ma.html - what MA do you do, this is my poll.
Goju_boi Posted March 29, 2005 Author Posted March 29, 2005 Kiss of the dragon as good 2 i saw it the other day.But that cant beat fist of legend. And as for hero i dont know wut was the big hype for it.It was a good movie but I woldnt say it was his best. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
isshinryu5toforever Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 I like Fist of Legend a lot. The first Once Upon a Time in China was good too. Hero has been hailed as great and as being mediocre. I didn't love Hero for the fight scenes, I loved it for the message. This was a film that was meant to show a more true spirit of the warrior. It wasn't made to showcase great stunts and action. If I want non-stop fights, I'll go see Fist of Legend or Ong Bak. If I want a martial arts movie with a deeper meaning I'll see Hero. He who knows others is wise. kzshin Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Fist of legend will be his best movie so far.He has a new movie coming out (already released in Europe) called Unleash. Can't wait to see that.
isshinryu5toforever Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I think Unleashed will be a little different kind of movie too, a little more in the Hero vain. If you look at the way it's set up, he's been treated like an animal, and then he meets a blind piano turner who teaches him to be human. I don't think there are going to be as many fight scenes in this one either, but the ones they have will be quality. He who knows others is wise.
