BullsEye Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Pro's and con's to both: Heavy hanging you have to have a place to hang it - room for it to swing when you pummel it.Freestandings or generally easier to move around but sometimes cannot take the amount of force you put into your punches/kicks without moving somewhat on their base. Freestandings also do not have the "heft" to them. Punch a 100lb canvas heavy bag and then punch a 270lb Wavemaster XXL - odds are you had a harding target hitting the 100lb bag.Cost: find a good vendor - ebay has a load. Don't go retail. Shop around.Of course, i would suggest https://www.bullseyefitness.com - but I'm bias!Good luck!BullsEye Serious Deals, No Bull!https://www.bullseyefitness.com=========================
white belt Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I own one of each and personally I use the wavemaster the most. If you have a Dick's Sporting Goods around your area they sell the orignal Wavemaster for 99.99.
ShotokanKid Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 I have a Big 5 in my area that sells them, but I'm still trying to decide whether or not to get one.
