lol that poor guy...I doubt theres an actual martial art to the lightsabers since they did some really wierd stances that if any martial artist did, they would prob get there legs cut off.

The light saber techniques combine elements of kendo and western fencing. It got a heavy dose of martial arts in 1999 with 'The Phantom Menace'. Ray Park, who also played Darth Maul in the film, was the film's fight scene choreographer. Park is also a WuShu expert.

That movie did have good martial arts now that i think of it

yeah it was cool... but i guess it was for show in a way. like it always is in films.

Its amazing how much martial arts is in StarWars and how people dont notice it.

Personally, I would rather see more realistic stuff, rather than all the showy stuff, although a few cool techniques here and there would switch it up and make it a little more interesting. I just don't like how Hollywood sells the version of martial arts people want to see, instead of the real thing. I liked how Park integrated kicks and things into his routine, but didn't understand why the other two didn't take the chance to hack him up during some of his fancier stuff.
