parkerlineage Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 As I wander in my lonely desolation, the question comes to me...why does nobody from EPAK (Ed Parker's American Kenpo) post on here? Are you out there? And what rank, if you are? Am I truly alone? hehe; Parkerlineage American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
UsagiYojimbo Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Hm. There's an Ed Parker Kenpo dojo here that seems to be pretty popular, and one where my mom lives as well. I thought it was a pretty popular style.
Kenpo-Sloth Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Hello Kenpo brother, I'm not exactly EPAK (I train in the American Chinese Kenpo Karate System - ACKKS) Rank - Yellow (training for 1+ year) and as for Where has all the Kenpo gone I thought Kenpo was in all styles and and in everything we do???IMHO Kenpo Training may not be a Lifetime Journey, but it's Definitely the Journey of a Lifetime!!

papaschtroumpf Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I would have been interested in trying kempo but the only kenpo dojo in my area is the archetype of the McDojo. Used car salesman pitch and one year unbreakable contract required included.

Keep looking! *If you guys look under the Karate section, we have started many Kenpo/Kempo threads that you may want to contribute to. Delta1 and I wanted to get a kenpo section at one time and it was contigent on posting in the Karate section under the subtitle of Kenpo. Check out some of these threads.http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=15763http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=15857http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=15764http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=15815http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=15931If you guys keep posting in this format, we can revitalize the kem/npo efforts at KF. Then we can look at world domination. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.

Kempohands Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Hey, I practice White Tiger Kempo...Lineage: Mitose-Chow-Emperado-Parker-Cerio-FescinaWhen you think about it, a lot of modern systems of Kenpo/Kempo came through Ed Parker (I believe, correct me at once if this a false assumption), so in essence, most Kempo practicioners practice Ed Parker's American Kenpo.
