3hitKO
What are your opinions on Bushido (Way of the Samurai/Warrior) Does anybody try to follow these values in their everyday life? These are, roughly: Gi - Rectitude Yu - Courage Jin - Benevolence Rei - Respect Makoto - Honesty Meiyo - Honor Chugi - Loyalty *Gi-Yu-Jin-Rei-Makoto-Meiyo-Chugi*"Life in every breath...""That is...Bushido.""Hai." fangshi
To be honest I never really understood the whole "way of the warrior " thing . I mean the set of values that you have listed are pretty much universally true for all religous , spiritual and/or ethical ways of thinking . As with the overwhelming majority of the people I know I try to follow such values as I feel that they are a proper etiquite (sp?) for all , but feel that I have very little in common with the samurai warriors of days gone by . We are not so much individual beings as individual points of perception within one immense being.

aefibird
The values of honesty, honour, respect etc are things that are good for anyone to try and live by, whether or not they are deliebratly following the Bushido or no.
